After completing my medical degree at the University of Duisburg-Essen and the University of Cologne, I gained international experience as part of my training during a period abroad at the University of Sydney in Australia. I then began my clinical career in vascular surgery, working at, amongst others, Leverkusen Hospital, Marien-Hospital in Bonn and St Katharinen Hospital in Frechen. In April 2023, I was recognised as a specialist in vascular surgery. This was followed by work as a locum specialist, with assignments in vascular surgery and phlebology outpatient clinics as well as in the operating theatre. From 2024, I worked at the Phlebologicum MVZ-Phillipstor in Düren, specialising in diagnostic and surgical phlebology, vascular medicine and lipoedema therapy. Since 2026, I have been part of the LIPOCURA® team in Cologne, Düsseldorf and Münster.
Over the past few years, I have repeatedly encountered patients with lipoedema in my clinical practice and have come to focus increasingly on this condition. Particularly over the last two years, I have devoted myself to the diagnosis, counselling and care of patients with lipoedema – both in an outpatient setting and as part of pre- and post-operative care. In doing so, I have seen just how distressing the condition can be for many of those affected and how important a thorough medical assessment and reliable support are. I am well versed in the nuanced approach required when working with this group of patients, and I am constantly expanding my knowledge and specialist expertise in this field.
