Professional Career

I completed my medical studies at Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen, earning my medical license and a Ph.D. in 2017. I then began my medical career in thoracic surgery at Helios Klinikum Pforzheim, where I gained a broad surgical foundation and interdisciplinary insights into various specialties. Starting in 2019, I continued my training in plastic surgery and hand surgery at the Bonn locations of Waldkrankenhaus and Johanniter-Krankenhaus. During this time, I also served as a study physician for the LIPLEG study on the surgical treatment of lipedema. In 2022, I worked in the Department of Hand, Plastic, and Aesthetic Surgery at medius KLINIK Nürtingen, and as of September 2024, I have held the position of specialist in plastic and aesthetic surgery. At the same time, I am completing my advanced training for the subspecialty certification in hand surgery and am continuously engaged in continuing education and professional exchange.

I have been supporting the LIPOCURA® team since 2026.

Experience and Work in the Field of Lipedema

Throughout my training in plastic surgery and my clinical practice, I have focused extensively on the condition known as lipedema. In particular, through my work as part of the LIPLEG study, I was able to gain valuable experience in the diagnosis, counseling, and surgical management of this condition. Through this work, I have come to realize how burdensome the symptoms are for many patients and how important a thorough medical evaluation and personalized care can be. My experience in body-contouring surgery and liposuction informs my work, as does my commitment to tailoring treatment plans to each patient’s individual situation.
