After my lipoedema diagnosis in summer 2022, I started looking for a suitable clinic for liposuction. Lipocura was the 2nd clinic I looked at and I was so positively surprised, as the difference to the clinic before was like night and day.
During my first consultation in fall 2022, they took almost 90 minutes of time for me and I just felt really well advised and taken care of. My first operation was then at the beginning of March 2023 at the Beethoven Clinic in Cologne with Mr. Kurpanek. My second and last operation was in May 2023. 16 liters were removed in total. Everything has now healed perfectly, most of the scars are barely visible and I am so incredibly happy with the end result. Not only am I now completely pain-free, but I feel really comfortable in my body again for the first time in years.

I had my first experience with Lipocura in September 2022 during my first consultation. I then quickly decided on this clinic and had my first liposuction for lipoedema in December 2022 at the Beethoven Clinic in Cologne. My second and, for the time being, last procedure was then in April 2023. Both the consultation and the pre-op and post-op consultations and aftercare were great and I felt that I was in good hands the whole time. The entire team was friendly, courteous and considerate. LipoCura Cologne – It was truly miraculous. I have a lot of surgical and aftercare (concept) experience. I went for a diagnosis and consultation with Dr. Haas in October. He took a lot of time for a detailed diagnosis and consultation. He explained to me in detail the clinical picture and the various options for dealing with it, both conservatively and surgically. He also answered my questions immediately afterwards by e-mail. Mrs. Traintinger is a very emphatic and sympathetic doctor, so I felt very comfortable! Unfortunately, I am very sensitive to pain, but she was able to allay my fears and was always empathetic. A few weeks ago, I had a consultation at Lipocura. I was informed very thoroughly and competently about risks and my options. Finding the right words is sometimes difficult—but I’ve been given a new life. Thanks to Chief Physician Tarek El-Asfar, after years of physical and psychological suffering I finally received the diagnosis of lipedema. The consultation and education about the disease and possible treatments (conservative and surgical) are incomparable to other places. He takes his time, is empathetic, honest, and meets his patients at eye level. The warm support from Ms. Schulze—an absolute soul of a person—is also an enormous pillar for those affected by lipedema. Hello there! Thanks to a lucky coincidence, I ended up at the Lipocura Clinic in Zurich and was the first patient to introduce myself there. The empathetic and professional team – Ms. Schulze from the office and Dr. El Asfar – made me feel at ease from the very beginning and I could feel that my needs were the focus. I felt I was in good hands. After a detailed consultation and discussion of the further procedure (a total of 3 operations were necessary), I said goodbye. Finally having a diagnosis and prognosis after 12 years was good on the one hand, but difficult to digest on the other. After the second consultation in Zurich, I decided to have the operation. I felt very well looked after at the Belaria Surgery Center and the operation also went very well. I had 10.5 liters removed. The first 2 weeks were a bit difficult due to my circulation, but after that things improved quickly. The whole thing is very individual and the reaction varies from body to body. The result of the 1st operation has already exceeded my expectations and my life has already changed in a positive way. I finally feel more comfortable in my skin and was able to go snowshoeing again just 4 weeks after the operation. Daily walks of 8-15 km are possible without pain and without heavy legs in the evening.
I would like to thank everyone from the bottom of my heart for the good support. I am now going to OP 2 and 3 with a good feeling! So I can only recommend Lipocura Zurich!

I ran from one doctor to another and no one could help me or give me any tips. at the first consultation I was given addresses and a guide that was completely tailored to me. I am very satisfied that they finally listened to me and took me seriously.

What I hoped for: to finally be taken seriously with my pain. What I received: Understanding, competent and empathetic doctors who do everything they can to make me feel better. I have to say that I wanted to make an appointment for the operation straight away at the initial consultation. However, the doctor asked me to sleep on it for a few more nights to be really sure. At no time did I have the feeling that I was being pressured into an operation. The diagnosis of lipoedema was then confirmed by an independent phlebologist. This second diagnosis is required for the tax, which my doctor and the pre-op checklist pointed out to me. After the operation, I was greeted by a caring team, you feel totally at ease in the clinic because the girls look after you so well. After 2 out of 4 operations, I can now finally do exercises on the trampoline without pain and walking is also much easier. The results of my arms are already impressive 6 weeks after the operation 😍

THE practice for the treatment of lipoedema! A few years ago I diagnosed myself via their website and then made an appointment. My self-diagnosis was confirmed. In the meantime I have already had 2 operations. I was operated on by Dr. Sauter, who is a very empathetic and attentive person. As a doctor, he works carefully and is really competent. He always takes time for his patients, which I personally find very important. I also think it’s great that the practice conducts research into lipoedema. This is the only way that the disease will be recognized in the long term and treatment will be covered by health insurance. Although this practice is in the upper price segment, I wouldn’t want to change. Quality has its price…better an expensive and high quality treatment by a specialist than a cheap botched job with necroses and dents by a surgeon who has no idea about lipoedema.

The consultation via video & in person on site were both convincing and I could choose Mr. Sauter as my treating surgeon with a clear conscience.
