Lipedema consultation in Amsterdam

From the moment I arrived, Sharlyne at reception made me feel genuinely welcome. She took the time to listen, was incredibly attentive, and made sure I felt comfortable throughout my visit. Her warm and personal approach immediately put me at ease, and it was clear that she truly cares about the people who walk through the door.
My consultation with Dr. Gallo was equally impressive. He was extremely attentive to my story, took the time to understand my situation, and answered all of my questions with honesty and clarity. He was thorough in explaining what to expect, reassuring without making unrealistic promises, and helped me feel much more hopeful about my journey with Lipoedema. I left feeling informed, supported, and with a much clearer understanding of my options.
One aspect that stood out was the 3D body scan, which provided valuable insight into the condition. While I have not yet decided whether I will proceed with liposuction through Lipocura, I can honestly say that this consultation has been a significant and positive step in my journey.

I came in for a consultation because I suspected I might have lipedema given my leg shape and symptoms. After a thorough consultation, a 3D scan, an ultrasound, and a physical exam, the doctor confirmed that I definitely do not have it.

I assumed he would just send me on my way since there was no treatment needed, but he went above and beyond. He took the time to explain exactly what my ultrasound would have looked like if I did have it, answered all my questions, and gave me realistic advice on how to proceed with my concerns and didn’t rush me in any way. They also told me I could reach out to them anytime until they retire! 😅

I thought that was incredibly kind. I left feeling truly understood and reassured.
