After studying medicine at the universities of Giessen and Frankfurt am Main, I began my professional career in the renowned hand surgery department at the Rhön Klinikum Campus Bad Neustadt. Under the direction of Prof. Dr. Karl-Joseph Prommersberger, I received excellent basic training in complex hand surgery. I then deepened my expertise at the BG Trauma Clinic at the University of Tübingen under Prof. Dr. Adrien Daigeler in the field of hand, plastic, reconstructive and burn surgery. During this time, I gained extensive experience in the treatment of complex hand surgical injuries, burns and breast reconstructions. The fat tissue surgery techniques I learned here now form the basis for my gentle Lipedema operations.
My path led me to leading experts worldwide: In Madrid, I perfected my hand surgery skills with Dr. Francisco del Piñal; in Istanbul, I learned innovative facial rejuvenation techniques and modern liposuction methods from Dr. Tunc Tiryaki. My stays in Atlanta and Rotterdam were particularly valuable, where I was able to learn not only the latest facelift techniques from renowned experts such as Dr. Foad Nahai, but also advanced treatment concepts for Lipedema patients.
Most recently, I was able to further expand my expertise in aesthetic procedures at Dr. Julia Berkei’s practice in Frankfurt am Main. Here, I perfected both surgical procedures and minimally invasive techniques, with a particular focus on liposuction and minimally invasive body tightening procedures. My range of treatments covers the entire spectrum of aesthetic surgery, from intimate surgery to facial rejuvenation and extensive body contouring procedures.
As a specialist in plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery, I also hold the title “Fellow of EBOPRAS” (FEBOPRAS). This European distinction is only awarded to plastic surgeons who have successfully passed an additional demanding examination before the European Board of Plastic Surgery. This qualification stands for the highest professional standards and continuous further training in our specialist field. Lipedema sufferers in particular need a great deal of understanding and empathetic care in addition to this medical expertise. My aim is not only to help patients achieve a harmonious and natural appearance through individually tailored treatments, but above all to sustainably improve their quality of life.
The surgical treatment of Lipedema is a matter close to my heart. When I see how my patients blossom not only physically but also emotionally after the treatment and look to the future with new self-confidence, I know that I have fulfilled my mission.
