I studied Medicine at the Catholic University of Rome (Italy), where I graduated with the highest honours. My passion for surgery and my pursuit of medical excellence led me to continue my professional career in the Netherlands. I trained as a general surgeon at the Martini Hospital and the University Medical Centre Groningen, successfully completing my training in 2024. In addition, I obtained my doctorate in surgery from the University of Utrecht in 2023. My ambition to continue developing and to provide the best possible care led me to Germany, where I began to study the treatment of lipoedema according to the Lipocura® concept. After training in Munich (Klinik Mednord) and Hamburg (Elbklinik), I returned to the Netherlands to put the Lipocura® concept into practice here. Since 2025, I have been working as a surgeon specialising in the treatment of lipoedema at LIPOCURA® in the Netherlands. I am a member of the Dutch Association for Surgery (NVvH).
What appeals to me about treating lipoedema is the unique opportunity to combine surgical excellence, precision and innovation with genuine humanity.
The refinement of techniques and the constant focus on quality, as developed by LIPOCURA® over the past 15 years, are perfectly in line with my professional values.
In addition to the surgical-technical aspect, I attach great importance to listening to my patients. I am genuinely interested in the story behind the person; I want to understand the limitations they experience in their daily lives with lipoedema and what their real needs and expectations are. This personal involvement forms the basis of my approach.
The holistic treatment concept of LIPOCURA® reflects my dedication as a surgeon: I look beyond the purely medical aspect and approach lipoedema as a complex condition with multiple dimensions.
My goal is to work with the patient to achieve a balanced and healthy lifestyle, with the ultimate aim of a lasting improvement in quality of life.
What my patients can always expect from me is honest advice and a treatment strategy that is developed in full consultation and tailored to the person behind the diagnosis.
