Professional career

After completing my studies in human medicine at Essen University Hospital, I began my professional career in my parents' dental laboratory in Velbert. In addition to assisting the management, I was also responsible for scientific event management. Over the years, our “Düsseldorfer Kolloquium” became an established and highly regarded series of continuing education events for the supra-regional dental profession. I also gained a lot of experience in interdisciplinary patient consultation, particularly in the fields of implantology, allergology, environmental medicine and sleep medicine - always with a holistic approach to patient care.

In 2011, my passion for surgery drew me back to the clinic. I completed seven years of my further training as a specialist in plastic and aesthetic surgery at HELIOS University Hospital Wuppertal, where I experienced and learned the entire spectrum of this fascinating and wide-ranging specialist field. In 2018, I moved to St. Josefs-Hospital in Hagen, where I worked as a senior consultant from 2019 to 2024. After qualifying as a specialist in plastic and aesthetic surgery, I also obtained the additional qualification in hand surgery in 2021. Our focus was on elective and emergency care as part of the Hand Trauma Center and in particular on tightening operations following massive weight loss. Independently of my clinical work, I also trained in aesthetic medicine and was certified by the German Society for Aesthetic Botulinum and Filler Therapy (DGBT).
